When should I report a claim?

Please report any incident to us as soon as it’s safe to do so – ideally within 24 hours. Prompt notification helps us manage your claim more efficiently and protects you if someone else later makes a claim against you, including in potential fraud scenarios.

Who do I contact if I want to check an existing claim?

All Motorcade claims are managed by Acorn Claims, part of the Acorn Group. To check on an existing claim, contact us on  0330 331 0714 during our office opening hours, which are Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 18:00 / Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00 / Sunday & Bank Holidays: Closed.

Follow these steps if involved in an accident

1. Get into a safe position

Before exchanging contact details, make sure you are in a safe position, away from other traffic.

2. Notify emergency services if anyone is injured.

If anyone is injured call 111. For medical emergencies call 999.

3. Exchange contact details

Take note of the names, addresses and phone numbers of everyone involved in the accident.

4. Take note of vehicle registration numbers

Take note of the registration numbers, makes and models of any vehicles involved.

5. Take photographs of the vehicles

If safe to do so, take pictures of the vehicles, the registration numbers of the vehicles, and any damage caused as a result of the accident.

6. Take photographs of the scene

If safe to do so, try to take pictures of the accident scene and anything else you feel may assist us in the handling of a claim.

7. Details of witnesses

Take note of the names, contact details, and addresses of any witnesses present.

8. Contact Acorn Claims to initiate the claims process.

Any accident/incident which may give rise to a claim must be reported to Acorn Claims within 24 hours of the accident/incident occurring.
